MetroNet launched MetroSky, a VPS Service

MetroNet Bangladesh Limited, at 4th February, 2017 announced the launch of MetroSky, a Cloud VPS service platform that is now available for local entrepreneurs, completely hosted from Bangladesh.

Among present were Mr. Mustafa Jabbar, President of BASIS and one of the legendary personalities of the Bangladeshi ICT Community, Mr. Antique Rabbani, Director Dhaka Camber,  Dr. Em Pannah, Professor University of Maryland & IT Security Expert, Mr. Uttam Kumar Paul, Director BASIS.

“MetroSky, a Cloud Platform enables developers, IT, and line of business leaders to easily leverage the Cloud for any workload” says Syed Almas Kabir, CEO of MetroNet. “We are thrilled to partner with Plesk, which provides a software defined web hosting control panel that lets you easily manage many aspects of your account, including the files, applications, and (for servers) email hosted on your account or server.

MetroSky is an ecosystem that brings together buyers and sellers to conduct business on a single platform. “With our cloud platform, customers have the ability to significantly expand their IT capabilities with minimal investment,” said Hadi Mohammed, VP Business Development, MetroNet. “Rather than designing, managing, and maintaining a costly technology infrastructure, MetroSky enables solution providers to free up valuable resources so they can concentrate more on marketing, business development and customer satisfaction.”

All servers are installed in VM platform which allows maximum performance compared to an ordinary server with just a control panel. The hardware we use is carefully chosen and customers are allocated in an orderly fashion based on package type. All hardware are enterprise-grade with iSCSI connectivity eased transition from legacy Fiber Channel network,  using RAID 6 storage arrays with more than enough resources to provide the performance and reliability, as a customer, you can upgrade to a new server (VPS) or larger packages without any issues.
