Introducing a new digital business identification (DBID) system for e-commerce entrepreneurs means that all online businesses, including websites, Facebook pages, and apps, must register through this DBID system.
The commerce minister, Tipu Munshi, inaugurated the e-commerce registration ceremony in his ministry on Sunday. The event was attended by several businesspeople and government officials, including Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman and State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak. Eleven e-commerce companies were registered for this occasion.
How to register an eCommerce Company
To register your eCommerce organization, visit the Ministry of Commerce’s website or MyGov.bd and click “Registration Of Digital Commerce Organization” at the bottom right corner for the internal services column, then fill out an application form with required details.
To register, an entrepreneur must provide his or her own photograph with proof of identity and membership in good standing. This includes a copy of the national ID card and that person’s seal/attestation from their organization’s boardroom leadership team (chairman).
